While in high school Peter devoted every free period to the art room under the tutelage of Dean Stambaugh, and by his senior year was winning prizes for his watercolors and acrylics. In the 1990’s, inspired by the landscapes of New Mexico and New Zealand, he took up brushes again and was soon being represented by the Taos Gallery (where he met his wife, Johannah). These days his time for painting is extremely limited due to his musical endeavors, but he still turns out an occasional seascape of the coast of Maine, and he holds onto his longtime dream of “retiring” with more time to paint.
Here are a few recent watercolors:

Fire on Sheep Island (painting completed 7/3/16)

Dinner Table Sheep Island (6/23/16)

Cahill in the Narrows (6/2/16)
